The protected landscape of the Mining Basins of Asturias protects an interior mountain range of < span>13,225 ha that makes up the protected landscape that extends through the Asturian councils of Langreo, Laviana, Mieres and San Martín del Rey Aurelio. [1]u200b This natural space includes part of the valleys formed by the Nalón and Caudal rivers, as well as its fluvial network with the tributaries Turón, Samuño, Santa Bárbara and Villoria and by a mountain range whose most characteristic peak is Peña Mea (1557 m). Bordering this space is the Redes Natural Park.
