神代桜

Jindaizakura is an old Edohiganzakura tree in the precincts of Jisso-ji Temple in Yamadaka, Takegawa-cho, Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. It is a nationally designated natural monument, and its name as a natural monument is Yamataka Jindai Zakura. The tree is said to be between 1,800 and 2,000 years old, and is one of the five great cherry blossom trees in Japan, or one of the three great cherry blossom trees. In May, it was designated as one of the 100 best trees in Japan (planned by Osaka City and the Yomiuri Shimbun).
