The Green Mosque (Persian: مَسجد سَبز‎, romanized: Masjid Sabz) is a mosque in the city of Balkh, northern Afghanistan. It is believed to have been commissioned by the then ruler of the Eastern Timurid Empire, Shah Rukh, or by his wife Goharshad.
