Necròpoli de Son Real
The Son Real necropolis is an archaeological site of extraordinary importance. It is located by the sea in the possession of Son Real, today a public estate (and interpretation center) of the government of the Balearic Islands, in the vicinity of Can Picafort, municipality of Santa Margalida. This necropolis was built during the Talaiotic period (early Iron Age, around the 7th century BC), and was used until the s. II BC It remained abandoned for many years until its conservation and the resumption of its study was promoted from the nineties of the xx century. It is currently a consolidated site and in a good state of conservation.
