Trempó

The trempó is a typical Mallorcan summer dish. It is a variant of the salad whose essential characteristics are a tomato base cut into pieces and the absence of lettuce. The rest of the ingredients are, apart from tomato: sweet pepper, onion, and sometimes other vegetables, olive oil and salt and sometimes vinegar. The name comes from trempar synonymous with dressing, marinating.

La Coca de trempó is a traditional Mallorcan cake that incorporates the ingredients of this dish on top of the pasta.
